Relay For Life^® of Morgan County.

Scheduled for June 20^th & 21^st, 2008, Morgan County Relay for Life is a life-changing event that brings together our county every year to celebrate the lives of those who have survived the battle of cancer, encourage those that are experiencing the fight of their lives, remember loved ones lost to this disease, and empower individuals and communities to fight back against a disease that steals way too much from way too many.

At Relay for Life, we will CELEBRATE the lives of those who have battled cancer with a special lap around the track called “The Survivor’s Lap”.  Caregivers will be included in the celebration by joining the survivors in the second lap around the track.  Caregiver play a special role in the life of a cancer patient.  They not only provide physical care, but they are the “sounding board” for all the emotions a cancer patient experiences, many times, with no words, but only the touch needed for comfort.

We REMEMBER our loved ones lost to the disease through luminarias and a special service to name these loved ones and walk a lap in their memory.  This is a touching service and provides a bit of healing for the families left behind.

We Relay to FIGHT BACK.  We have been touched by cancer and desperately want to put an end to the disease.  Please join us by making a commitment to save lives and help fight back.
